License Renewal DateDecember 31 triennially

General Requirement120 hours per 3 year period
Minimum Hours Per Year20 hours
Ethics Requirement4 hours every 3 years: Providers offering ethics courses must register with the Board and/or have their content approved by the Board. If possible, CNMI ethics must be taken on location in CNMI. Until there is a regularly scheduled course, this requirement may be met in any other place by any other 4-hour accounting ethics or 4-hour business ethics course.

The above are general requirements. There may be additional requirements for individuals whose license has lapsed and/or initial first-time applicants, etc.

Because CPE standards are created and maintained jointly by the AICPA, NASBA (the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy), and individual state boards, we recommend checking with your state board to be absolutely sure you are fulfilling all requirements.
